BlackBerry Curve 9310 with 7.1 OS

BlackBerry Curve 9310 Mobile Review

Blackberry Curve 9310 is the new message-manic handset in the mobile market from Boost Mobile, one of the prepaid brands of Sprint. The handset will be available from July 10 for the young mobile fanatics who keep in touch with their friends through Blackberry messenger and can be considered an ideal blackberry handset for the first time users.

Design

The new Blackberry phone looks inspired from company’s previous models 9220 and 9320. The phone is given an attractive touch in black colored casing and sidelined with silver edges adds to the class of the product.

The new blackberry phone is a trademark QWERTY prototype with well-spaced Lozenge–shaped keys to provide ease of typing. Slimmer design might make it difficult for texting, but thankfully it’s not as hard as typing on a touch phone.

The phone features 2.4 inch TFT screen which supports 320 x240 pixels resolution. The combination of 164ppi pixel density and decent screen resolution displays good quality content.

There’s an optical mouse just below the screen for giving comfortable directional moves on your screen.

Performance

The new Blackberry Curve 9310 phone is equipped with Blackberry OS which runs on single core processor. The phone is packed with 512MB RAM which allows smoother and quicker processing of applications in the phone.

Unlike its predecessor, the phone isn’t instilled with dedicated Blackberry messenger key on the side but it surely has access to Blackberry services and messenger.

The phone is incorporated with memory card slot which lets you access microSD and MicroSDHC cards. You can simply bung in an external card to increase the storage capacity up to 32GB.

Connectivity

Blackberry Curve 9310 smartphone offers internet connectivity to the users through its Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n interface or through Wi-Fi Hotspot connectivity. You can also make use of GPRS and EDGE for internet connection.

Camera

New smartphone Blackberry Curve 9310 phone is integrated with 3.2 megapixels camera which is coupled with LED flash to give bright images in dim light. The camera also lets you record video if and when required.

The camera comes with Image Stabilizer technology which gives sharp images but since there’s no Autofocus, you can’t expect the camera to give high quality images with zero image noise.

Battery

The phone is packed with 1450mAh battery which gives approximately 18 days of standby time and practically gives talk time of up to 8 hours.

Pros & Cons

There’s nothing so ‘wow’ about the new phone but probably there are lots of cons in the phone including low pixel density (lesser than 184ppi), no autofocus in camera and no ambient sensor for automatic screen brightness adjustment.
