Asus Google Nexus 7 Tablet Powered by Android v4.1 Jelly Bean

Review

And finally, Google has hopped in the tablet market, putting an end to the long awaited rumors and launching the much anticipated Asus-built Google Nexus 7 Tablet. Giving the much needed energy jolt to the tablet industry, Google is finally out with its own device boasting impressive spec sheet and including Latest Google Android OS – Jelly Bean.
Looks & Build
Google Nexus 7 Tablet is a compact design with dimensions 198.5 x 120x 10.45mm and on the top of that weight just 340g (half as that of latest iPad). The Nexus Logo embellished on the back allows higher grip as it stops tablet from slipping from hand.
The build of the tablet looks extremely sturdy with metallic silver trim and accompanying grippy rubber back. Even with all this, the tablet doesn’t bother with its weight and can be handled with single hand.
The impressive part of the tablet is its IPS Screen. The 1280 x 800 pixels resolution on the big 7 inch screen shouts for its quality. If smaller size is concerning you, then impose it on the portability factor that bothered Asus to make it small but one should praise its high 226 ppi pixel density.
Upgraded OS
For those who have got bored browsing ICS and Gingerbread devices, Nexus 7 is surely going to impress you. TheAndroid 4.1 Jelly Bean is included in this Google Device but consider it just an incremental update.
When held in hand, you will actually feel the in-depth of this device. The most impressive part of this OS is the Project Butter. You can easily witness the speed and smoothness on this latest OS which is at par with the lag what previous Android versions offered.
Processor
If so far everything looked so impressive, then get ready to fall in love with the device. What you have experienced inAsus Transformer Prime and in the latest HTC phones with Quad Core processor, expect the same in this latest Google Device.
Nexus 7 tablet is lightning fast and highly responsive for your android applications. With NVIDIA’s clever core switching and impressive 1GB RAM, the multitasking become lesser complex and switching of applications becomes easier.
Camera
Asus Google Nexus 7 Tablet is packed with just one camera and that’s too on the front with 1.3MP resolution. With so many high end specifications, slight disappointment doesn’t matter. And that too in a device like tablets, where majorly the front mounted camera is used.
The 1.3 MP camera allows good resolution video calling (approx. 720 pixels) and also lets you capture decent quality images from this front snapper.
Battery
The battery of Google Nexus 7 will definitely compel you to exploit yourself with day and night usage of Internet and Android. The Tablet might be small device but it is packed with powerful 4325mAh battery which can let you work for more than eight hours.
Google Wallet
Google Nexus 7 tablet is shipped with Google Wallet which allows users to ease of mobile payment system on their device. With Google Wallet, the user will be able to compete with the applications including Wallet Hubfunction andApple Passbook application.
