Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS Unveiled

Microsoft Windows Phone 8

For all those who have been speculating that Windows Phone 7 devices would never turn into Windows Phone 8,Microsoft has sealed their mouth by confirming on the latter’s launch with advanced upgrades.
At Windows Phone SummitMicrosoft finally announced the initial details of the new OS for Windows Phone, named Windows Phone 8.
The new generation of Microsoft Windows can’t be considered touch friendly with notebook and desktop but the motto behind remains to unify Windows with that of Phone for bringing faster and more connected experience.
To keep your excitement invigorated, here we present to you the ‘Sneak Peak’ of the new Windows Phone 8. We are including most of the details below but there are chances of few other modifications or additional features.

Windows Phone 8 – Interface
Windows Phone 8 interface is somehow inspired from the current Windows phone interface with a typical Start button on the Screen. Unlike the pop up that appears on the left or right, the new start screen will appear on the whole screen.
The new start screen allows more space to fit specific applications as tiles on the screen (similar to Windows Phone 7.5) in three different sizes now. You can shrink lesser useful information including call logs or office hub and pick some other application to fit in the small sized tile.
Similarly, for applications which needs more details or you specifically wants to see in bigger form, you can drag it on the extra-large tile.
You’ll see attractive new color screen which adds to the beauty of the interface. Choose from the settings to select a peppy bright color from amongst purple, Pink, red, blue, green, yellow or orange to appear on the screen.
Overall, not much of changes are made on the interface. There are some traditional features included in the new format – you can still find list of application adjacent to Start screen or the panorama format of information display when moved horizontally.

Windows Phone 8 – Inside the cover
Windows Phone 8 runs on Kernel from Windows along with ARM processor. You will not see similar start screenon this new version as found in Windows 7 and its successor; also don’t expect Metro-style WinRT applications to run on new Windows.
The ARM processor minus multicore works on Snapdragon Qualcomm platform, with advanced GPU and NFCsupport.
There are some components included from Desktop Windows and some new enhanced features added to the new version. You cannot call this new Windows flexible enough as Android is, where you can have the attitude of doing or trying anything.
But yes, Windows have tried best to give improved battery life and user experience to the consumers. Don’t worry for the security as the Windows applications are made to run in a Sandbox.

Windows Phone 8 – Applications
Microsoft has announced that Windows 7 application can easily run on the new version of Phone OS. But it is less feasible for the developers who make applications for these OS as it is expected from them to specifically stick to a particular version before making an application.
The features including Wallet, Native code or VOIP will be now seen navigating in the background. With this, you will be able to see full- featured turn-by-turn navigation applications.
One of the advantages of this OS is that it allows easier writing maneuvers; at some time, you will see loads of feature and graphics similarities in Windows 8 with its desktop version.

Windows Phone 8 – Multimedia
The combination of superb Audio, Graphics and Media playback, Windows Phone 8 allows stupendous entertaining experience. The increase GPU support will let you enjoy 3D rich gaming experience.
In short, the current games of the Windows Phone OS will need to be re-tooled for the new platform. You’ll be able to make Video calls just like Regular phone calls with almost similar features and notifications.
