Asus Padfonehas been doing the rounds in the tech world from quite some time but Asus wasn’t willing to make announcements of its release date. Finally, Asus has launched this hybrid device and has trotted out with supporting accessories including a keyboard dock, a stylus which also works as an earpiece and a Tablet station.

Design

The new Padfone looks a familiar construction on the first looks with black frames edges of almost an inch which gives it a framed look. You might find it like Apple Iphone earlier versions minus elegance but it is as slim and updated as any Apple’s product.

Asus Padfone comes with 4.3 inches Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen which supports 16M colors and supports Screen resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.

The phone comes with optional Padfone station with 10.1 inch display which works in association with the phone to give the ease of bigger display and comfortable operations.

The beauty of the whole structure lies there when you connect the tablet with the keyboard and the Padfone Tabletmonitor appears hanging in the air. And when you don’t need the phone alone, flip the tablet to accommodate your phone in the back panel of the tablet, just like you insert batteries in any device.

Performance

Plug in the handset with the Asus tablet station to enjoy all-in-one PC functioning. Enjoy downloading your favorite applications on Android Market using Google’s most updated OS – Android Ice Cream Sandwich.But once you are connected on both the devices, you’ll have to strictly stick to mouse and keyboard for interacting with Android or yourUI.

Asus Padfone is powered by Dual Core Processor from Krait which clocks at impressive 1.5GHz and accompaniesQualcomm Snapdragon S4 Chipset. Expect some entertaining and fun filled gaming session in swifter speed as the phone comes with Adreno225 GPU supporting which is 1GB RAM.

The phone also incorporates A-GPS support which lets you find navigational ways through maps in no time.

Camera

Asus Padfone comes incorporated with 8MP camera at the rear side of the tablet which can capture image quality of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The camera is also accompanied with LED flash and Autofocus which lets you capture sharper images especially in low lights situations.

The phone also lets you record Video of decent quality and with its VGA camera you can make video calls to your closed ones using 3G network.

Connectivity

New Asus Padfone allows fast internet connectivity to the users through HSDPA and HSUPA at 3G network. You can also connect to WLAN port or can visit a Wi-Fi hotspot to make use of free internet services. The phone is alsoGPRS and EDGE supported.

The phone also delivers its users the power of wireless data transmission with its Bluetooth connectivity or you can make direct to and fro transfer from PC using its MicroUSB port.
