Asus Zenbook UX31 comes with lush metallic looks and appealing body that can engulf you in its intensified beauty. The notebook with less than 1.7mm thickness and weight less than 1.5kg features latest Intel processor – Intel Core™ i7 2677M Processor which provides sturdy performance to the system.  The wedge shaped design sports 13.3 inch screen with LED backlit and displays the aspect ratio of 16:9. The sturdy aluminum case provides a feeling of durability to the laptop which is overall given a dark brushed feel on the palm rest along with keyboard area.

The Asus Zenbook is packed with Windows 7 Home Premium /Home Basic (64 bit) edition with the Intel QS67 Express Chipset to ensure updated computing. The system is equipped with 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM which along with Intel HD graphics 3000 to assure you an ecstatic gaming experience. The 1600 x 900 pixels screen resolution handles HD video playback easily and its wideness creates no problem in multitasking. One of the most impressive parts of UX31 is its capability to quick boot; if you shut down or restart the system, it won’t bug you more than 25 seconds to resume and just 3 seconds to resume from sleep mode. All thanks to its fast processor and speedy 128GB SATA III solid state disk for this. The Zenbook also features Smart connect Technology that allows you to connect to internet even in sleep mode. Even if you close the lid of your notebook, your email message will be ready to send in your operational browser, once you’ll open the laptop.

Moving on to the battery life – Asus Zenbook UX31 doesn’t support user replaceable battery but gets a comparatively good battery life. It can support up to 5-6 hours of continuous web surfing, music playback and other computing tasks. Zenbook also integrates patented Asus Hybrid Engine which enables you to choose different performance mode including Quiet office, High performance, Battery saving and entertainment mode, depending on the tasks you do.

The sleekness of Asus Zenbook UX31 doesn’t deprive you from portability options. There’s a USB2.0 port, combined Mic/headphone jack and SDHC Card slot on the left side of the prototype while on the right side it has USB3.0 port, power jack, micro HDMI port and a mini-port for VGA adapter. There’s no Ethernet port but an indirect USB-to-Ethernet adapter which expects you to connect your wired network via USB connection. The power adapter offered is not larger than one we use for smartphone and not like typical heavy brick which becomes difficult to carry; so no worries of carrying the charger for on the go charging.
