Olympus Classically-Styled Pen Series E-PM1 Digital Camera

Olympus E-PM1 Digital Camera Review

Olympus with E-PM1 mirror-less interchangeable lens camera gives the world of entry level photographers a chance to take their photography skills to next level.  As claimed by Olympus, E-PM1 Camera offers “DSLR quality in a compact camera design” within affordable range.
Regarded as the smallest of the PEN family of Micro Four Thirds cameras from Olympus, E-PM1 Camera is equipped with company’s collapsible 14-42mm lens kit. The camera comes with enhanced features than its brothers Pen E-PL2 and E-PL3 but falls in the similar price tag of approx. Rs. 30K in India. The camera features 12.3 Megapixels resolution Zuiko Lens with high speed Live MS sensor. It’s extremely fast high speed contrast AF can shoot with approximately 4.1 frames per second with image stabilization mode and its high speed TruePic VI image processor ensures powerful image processing simultaneously.
Pen Mini as it is popularly named, is designed for casual photographer who wants to carry it everywhere he moves. It not quite pocket able, but it is undoubtedly convenient than any DSLR in the market. The design consists of bare minimum button and dials with an emphasis on easy functioning and simple designing. The absence of reflex mirror also enables that the interchangeability of lenses doesn’t affect the compact dimensions of the camera and keeps the lens place much nearer to the image sensor. The larger image sensor, as comparable with any typical DSLR, results in lesser noise at higher sensitivities (ISO) which ranges from 200 to 12800.
Olympus Pen Series E-PM1 Digital Camera integrates newly-designed user interface with more intuitive functionalities. The 3 inch widescreen LCD shows pop up guide to help you at any point of difficulty in settings. There are numerous shooting modes in the camera including Macro, Portrait, Sports, Sunset, Panorama, fireworks, fisheye converter and many more to click out the best possible photograph.
The camera can also undertake recording of full HD movie with stereo sound and if you are shooting in low light conditions, there is an attached flash system which makes sure you record video of superior quality in such conditions. There are USB 2.0, HDMI, Video Output (NTSC/PAL) and RM-UC1 ports placed suitably for your ease. E-PM1 Olympus Digital Camera is quite handy with the weight of just 265gms and incorporates BLS-1/BLS-5 Lithium Ion battery which once charged can last up to 200 image clicks.
