Volkswagen Polo Facelift to be Launched Soon



Volkswagen is all set to give its mid cycle hatchback Volkswagen polo a minor refresh. Adding some exciting features on Volkswagen Polo stance, the new update will bring on better comfort, enhanced safety and superior looks than the earlier version. Combining all the virtues of comfort, safety, driving and handling, Volkswagen Polo is considered one of the favorite hatchbacks in the Indian automobile façade.

Witnessing the increased competition and growing hatchback market, the German automaker Volkswagen has decided to incorporate minor updates in their much acclaimed hatchback Volkswagen Polo. You can call this a stop gap method till the company arrives with their next generation Polo for the year 2014 but one thing is confirmed; this already sharp looking car is definitely going to be sharper in its next version. Since details aren’t disclosed nothing can be confirmed right now.
In the latest updated Volkswagen Polo, Volkswagen Group India, a part of Volkswagen AG is planning to add few attractive features on the aesthetic front. To start with, the new Volkswagen Polo will get an addition to its classy look exteriors by additional black inserts that will add to the sportiness of this super-mini. The new alloy wheel design externally and new music system head unit with USB and Bluetooth connectivity will enhance the interior worth of the car.
Most of the hatchbacks today are coming with steering mounted audio function. Keeping in regard with this, Volkswagen has planned to include steering-mounted audio controls in the higher Volkswagen Polo India version.
Indian buyers doesn’t spend much for comfort, luxury or safety of the car, rather they prefer cars which can give them hassle free drive. One of the popular features that adds to the efficiency and performance of the car is automatic transmission. Though buying an automatic car is costlier but more and more Indian buyers prefer buying these cars; there’s too much congestion and traffic on the city roads these days. It gives ease of driving with its effortless gear shifts.
In accordance to that Volkswagen has also planned to bring an automatic petrol variant of their classic hatchback Volkswagen Polo which will be hitting auto market in the coming November. No details on automatic box have been confirmed till now.
At the moment, Volkswagen India is testing 1.6 liter petrol engine with automatic gearbox which is set to release in the festive season of Diwali. The only competition in the similar hatchback segment with Volkswagen Polo is Hyundai i20 automatic which cost around Rs.7.8lacs. Keeping in mind Rs.1 lac difference in the manual and automatic variant, the new Volkswagen Polo AT is expected to cost approx. Rs.7.5 lakhs.
