Chevrolet Spin MPV to launch soon in India

Chevrolet Spin Car is the latest release from General Motors which is expected to hit only in Asian and South American markets. The new compact Minivan from Chevrolet is considered to be the MPV version of Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan; so the new car looks quite inspired from Cobalt architecture but you can call it an elongated version of the Cobalt Sedan.

Chevrolet Spin Car design is brainwork of General Motors Brazil and has been majorly designed and developed in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for which testing took place in four different locations across the globe. With no pricing announced yet, the car is about to roll out in the Asian and South American market by July.

Considering the latest sales figure of  Toyota Innova, it has become quite unequivocal that a well-built MUV can be good success formula in the massive markets like Asia. The recent in the league is Maruti Ertiga which has cleared that this particular segment is becoming quite popular.  Not staying behind from the boiling segment, Chevrolet has also spun across its new MUV ‘Spin’ which is a funky looking archetype.

What’s New about Chevrolet Spin

The new Chevrolet Spin prototype includes 2,620mm long wheelbase, good mechanical hardware and inspire design from Cobalt. To most of the people, Spin might appear as a stretched version of Cobalt, especially its stretched height which looks a little unaccustomed.

Bearing the similar family face of Chevrolet, Spin has been instilled with traditional split grille accompanied by narrow headlights that adds to its visual appeal. What’s more impressive is its rugged archetype that is emphasized all over by striking side lines.

Interiorly, the car can seat five or seven people in two different variants – five seater LT sports air conditioning system, heater, ABS, dual airbags, height adjustable driver’s seat, Electronic brake force distribution, good quality fabric and height adjustable driver’s seat. All Chevrolet Spin MUV Interiors in the 7 seater variant is similar except for additional third passenger row, control mounted on steering wheel, trip computer and parking sensor.

Chevrolet Spin MUV India will be launched with 710 liters of boot capacity five-seat configuration while it can become 162 liters in seven-seater Spin.

The new Chevrolet MUV will be bestowed with 1.8 liter four-cylinder Econo Flex Engine that can churn out 108Horse power when ran on ethanol while it give 106HP power with petrol.  The engine is coupled with two transmission system including five speed manual transmission and a six speed automatic transmission.
