Design

Sony Xperia Ion has continued with the tradition of flat rectangular black look of Xperia line up. The phone is givenblackish touch up in glossy finish in a slim 10.8mm body which weighs just 144g. The phone is available in three color variants – Black, White and Red.

The first thing that you’ll notice down on seeing Xperia Ion is its large HD display. The phone sports 4.6 inches HDreality display which adds up to 320 per inch pixel density. Its LED Backlit LCD capacitive Touchscreen supports16M while the display supports 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution.

On the front panel of the phone there are four capacitive buttons placed for Home, Back, options and search.

Camera

The Xperia Ion HSPA phone is integrated with 12MP Autofocus camera with LED Flash which provides image quality of 4000 x 3000 pixels. The rear camera can also fetch video recording of 1080pixels at 30 frames per second.

The rear camera is equipped with brilliant features including Touch Focus, Continuous autofocus, Face & smile Detection, Image Stabilization and 3D sweep Panorama. There’s a front camera of 1.3MP which lets you do videorecording of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second or you can do video calling with your closed ones.

Connectivity

You can connect to internet on the phone using its 802.11b/g/n port or you can make use of internet with Wi-Fi Hotspot. The phone also supports GPRS connectivity at 86kbps and EDGE connectivity at 237kbps.

The phone also allows wireless data transmission of your multimedia and data files using Bluetooth v2.1 withA2DP. You can also make transfers from your phone to the PC using its MicroUSB Port v2.0. The phone is also NFC enabled for sharing and making exchanges with other NFC enabled devices.
