Finally, we are really going to see a tablet with convertible structuring with easy conversion between tablet and Laptop modes in a new unique style. All thanks to its Dual –screen design which lets you use the device in different configurations depending on your needs.

Design

Asus Taichi is a part tablet and part notebook which features double-sided IPS screen which supports full HD display of 1920 x 1080 pixels. With smooth touch sensitive controls on the high definition colored display, expect some marvelous gaming experience and video playback with this tablet cum notebook.

The Tablet is inspired from early archetypes giving a polished look in the metallic black attire. The Tablet is still a working design which is supposed to come with a backlit QWERTY keypad. The touch panels of the tablets are made highly responsive for quicker operations.

Despite its thin design, the ultrabook has been incorporated with number of ports for ensuring flexibility to the users.  There are two USB 3.0 ports, Mini Display Port, HDMI interface and a 3.5mm audio jack.  Along with that there are Volume rocker, Power button and Rotation Lock button to lock when the device is to be used as a tablet. You can operate the tablet in both the ways – using a stylus or through multi touch input.

Performance

Asus Taichi is expected to come in two profiles – 11.6” and 13.3”, both powered by third generation Intel Core Processors. The tablet is powered by Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7 CPU coupled with 4GB RAM to ensure swifter multitasking and smoother operations.

A person can use Windows 8 while using it as Ultrabook or you can fold the screen to make it your mobile partner in the form of Tablet with Windows 8 OS.

Asus Ultrabook doesn’t support those detachable base slates which needs swivel or slider orientation for making them a tablet. You only need to close the lid of the notebook to make it appear in the tablet mode which is made possible through its second display stacked behind the front display. For possibilities like this, the device needed to be incorporated with Windows 8.

Features

For those users who have got accustomed to using android applications and games, Asus will be pre installingBlueStacks software for the users to allow them to use android Applications. The software allows the Asus users to run android applications on Asus@vibe which is an entertainment platform in all Asus products.

A unique feature of this Convertible Device is its different display Modes. With Mirror Mode, you can allow same images to appear on both the displays. While on Independent mode, you can work on your important task on one screen while letting the other screen be used by your kids for playing their favorite games.
