Samsung Galaxy mini 2 S6500 Mobile Features

Samsung Galaxy mini 2 S6500 Mobile Review

If you had liked Samsung Galaxy Mini released last year, get ready to please yourself with its successor Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 in a reasonably affordable price tag. It’s not going to be a high end device like Samsung Galaxy Mini Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570, but surely launched to aim the low end mobile market in India.
Design
Following the trend of Galaxy Mini S5570, the new kid Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is also designed with a colored back panel available in different bright colors. Like any entry level phone, Galaxy Mini 2 is carved out in plain plastic looks with back covers in textured finish to provide comfortable grip.
The phone is given a chrome-like shiny bezel around the side of the phone inside which it holds 3.2 inches TFT display with capacitive touch supporting QVGA resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It might not look fancy anywhere in sight, but overall the handset gives presentable looks.
Performance
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 works on Android V2.3 gingerbread with pre-installed TouchWiz User Interface on the top of the mobile. UI also looks quite similar to what recent Samsung’s mobile devices are incorporated with; Chances of updating to Ice Cream Sandwich is little lesser.
The phone is incorporated with single core processor with 800MHz clocking speed on Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset. The phone handles navigation tasks using A-GPS support and your regular multitasking, effortlessly.512MB RAM and Adreno 200 GPU makes its quite smoother to work decent graphics applications including games and video playback.
The Internal memory of 4GB is standard storage in phones recently but disappointingly only 1.73GB is available for multimedia usages and less than 900MB is allocated for applications installation. You can expand the internal storage up to 32GB using the MicroSD card.
Camera
The phone is incorporated with 3MP camera which can deliver pleasing photographs under proper lighting conditions. This basic camera lacks autofocus feature which somehow makes indoor images look average though you can expect distinguishable details in non-close-up shots.
The phone can capture 2048 x 1536 pixels images and can record VGA quality video at 25 frames per second.  Expectedly, there’s no front Camera as found in most low end phones.
Connectivity
Unbelievably, the little munchkin Galaxy Mini 2, stocks web browser with Adobe Flash support but somehow it affects the performance of the browser. Surfing internet is not that bad with features including tap/ pinch zoom, Text reflow and supporting multiple window included for working as intended.
You can connect to internet via Wi-Fi b/g/n or by using 3G Radio at 7.2Mbps. Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 also incorporates Bluetooth 3.0, FM Radio with RDS, NFC and A-GPS support which takes around 4 seconds for pin pointing a location on the map.
