Toyota Camry 2012 launched in India

From the stables of  Toyota, the year 2012 will witness another re-tooled version of Camry in coming days. The word Camry is derived from a Japanese word ‘kanmuri’ which translates as Crown. In India, Camry is considered highly executive car which is believed to deliver remarkable driving experience.

Redesigned for 2012, the new Toyota Camry is being integrated with similar designing and equitable dimensions as seen in its previous prototype. The new model has been made lighter, high performance oriented and comes with greater fuel efficiency.

The new Camry has been launched in competition with Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, Volkswagen Jetta and Skoda Superb.

Exterior

Despite of the Larger Bumper inlets and Boomerang- shaped lights, the Camry has continued with its conventional Length, height and width. This four cylinder car comes with single tailpipe at the back with only V6 model comes with two tailpipes.

The Sports oriented Camry SE model is designed with unique bodywork to give an informal look. The racier bumpers and a new grille on the front give a distinctive look to the overall archetype.

Exteriorly, Toyota Camry Car is equipped with Standard 16 inch Steel Wheels that are enveloped in plastic covers and offers optional choice of 17 and 18 inch alloy wheels. One of the unique compositions is side mirror which comes in similar body color as the car is painted.

Interior

Inside the new Camry you’ll find that the dashboard wrap has been replaced by layered design where the upper dashboard has been covered by Stitched Faux leather. The trim level unlike last year’s Camry comes with 60/40 – split folding Rear seat.

Toyota has offered two navigation system variants with sharper graphics – Entry level version with 6.1 inch Screenand another 7.0 inch system.

The car is packed with powerful 2.4 liter engine that delivers the peak power of 167PS at 6000RPM and the maximum torque of 204.9Nm at RPM level of 5600 with variable valve timing-intelligent system (VVT-I).

The Engine is also accompanied with Intelligent Electronic Control System which controls the engine output by adjusting the throttle valve in relation with accelerators opening. This allows smoother gearshift changes for ensuring acceleration control while you are driving.

This new Camry 2012 version with Automatic transmission offers an average mileage of 8 km per liter while the automatic gearbox version offers the mileage of 7km per liter.
